If you have reached the point in your photography and diving where you are looking for better definition and color in your images then an underwater strobe is likely to be part of your solution.
As with all high technology solutions, you need to take into account factors such as the power and recharge speed of the strobe and also high wide a coverage it provides. In some cases, particularly with a wide angle lens, you may even need two strobes as you will spend a lot of that light energy not pointing directly at your subject (in order to avoid backscatter from particles in the water).
